Online Music Lessons

Why Virtual Music Lessons?

One thing the Covid pandemic taught us was that we can carry on doing many of the things we were already doing virtually. For some people, online work is actually more ideal. No driving, traffic, parking, waiting. It's a time saver and done from the comfort of your own home. That's a win-win!

Music teachers especially had to quickly adapt to being able to continue their instruction virtually. It became the new standard for lessons, education, and most work for two years or more. Now we as music teachers realize that this is a legitimate means of reaching students, some who are maybe even on the other side of the country or globe! Home-schooled students, rural students, adults, and others can benefit from being able to have music lessons online.

Who We Are

VirtuViolin is not a big chain company! We are professional musicians and local private instructors in the DC Metropolitan Region. We wanted to be able to reach more students outside of the radius. Our time with our students is carefully crafted for the individual student and their needs. We are serious about teaching music, and not going to fill lesson time with fluff. Music theory is incorporated into lessons so students can better understand what they are doing and why. Proper physical positioning and note-reading are also important factors in learning a stringed instrument. To find out more about each teacher, click on their photo.

Who Our Virtual Students Are

Virtual music students are those that don't fit in the traditional box of wanting in-person afterschool or post-work lessons. As music educators, we already have full studios of on-site private and group lessons that take place during the afternoons through evenings on the weekdays. Students that seek online lessons are those who may: want a morning or weekend lesson time, live too far away from high-quality music teachers, have anxieties about being out and about, or just enjoy learning from the comforts of home. We are fortunate to now have the ability to give and receive lessons virtually. Welcome to VirtuViolin!
